When you think of Grace Kelly a few labels will come to you automatically, Hollywood star, royal bride, beloved princess and of course, style icon. She was renowned for her cool beauty and faultless good taste, setting herself miles apart from her contemporaries, with the “Grace Kelly look” reaching the Parisian catwalk and covers of Vogue.
Now the V&A are set to release a book showcasing her spectacular outfits, in the form of 80 colour and 40 black and white images, called Grace Kelly Style: Fashion for Hollywood’s Princess. The release of the book on April 1st 2010, will coincide with an exhibition at the V&A, running from March 20th – July 4th 2010, which will showcase her clothing over the years. Pieces shown will include her own clothes, outfits worn for films and the lace ensemble worn for her civil marriage ceremony to Prince Rainier, as well as film clips, posters, photographs and her Oscar statuette.
