Esther Perbandt grew up in West Berlin, was hardened by an artist in Moscow and polished in Paris. Whilst in France she finished a European master in fashion and textile design, as well as a postgraduate study at the Institut Francais de la Mode, and worked in the design team at Chacok. Finally in 2004 she went back to Berlin to start up her own label, Esther Perbandt.
Her collections are androgynous, mixing gorgeous feminine draping and prints (lots of tie dye that is constantly growing on me) on stylishly tailored male silhouettes. She also has an accessories range which features several sleek, art inspired bags, as well as other pieces, that became an independently successful accessory label. Both lines are available around the world, but not yet in the UK, so if you see it on holiday this year grab it whilst you can!
