Ooopppss. I’ve not been very good with keeping up with blogging since my exams finished, things have been a little crazy, lots of catching up with friends, celebrating results (finished with a 2:1) and I got a new (degree related) job! All this time it seems to be getting wetter and wetter, and I’ve been dreaming more and more about bright high heels, because what’s life without amazing shoes?

This is how I discovered Casadei, the Italian brand that is over 50 years old, a sure sign of quality. They have created some amazing pieces this season, chunky heels, big platforms, sculpted wedges, and eye-catching pop colours.

Here are a few of my favourites:

Rae Jones

If somebody knows about stylish shoes, it’s Rachel Jones, who established a career as very successful shoe trend specialist for many years, before turning her talents to designing. Every piece in her footwear line, Rae Jones, is everything you need in a pair of shoes, distintive, durable, wearable and above all, absolutely beautiful. Made from high grade Italian leathers; mixing wine, navy and beige colours, and inspired by inconic 1940’s shoe designers Beth and Herbert Levine, they are possibly the most unique shoes on the market today.

Selfridges Shoe Stories

By now you would have probably heard of Selfridges Shoe Galleries, which will have over 55,000 pairs in stock at one time and 4,000 pairs on display from 150 different brands, including Exclusive to Selfridges shoes. If you haven’t then make sure you have circled the 16th September in your calendar, as this is the grand opening!

To celebrate this momentous occasion, Selfridges want to hear your Shoe Stories, and in return you can win a years supply of shoes. One winner will be selected by the Judges, each Friday for 15 weeks, from the 6th August to the 12th November 2010, so you still have plenty of chances to win. And even if you don’t win, the stories are still lovely and funny to read, the pictures along side them to die for and there is something comforting about knowing that you’re not alone in your shoe addiction.

Love Leluu

We all know that I am some what of a Carnaby Street fan, and one area in particular that I love is Kingly Court, filled full of amazing shops that stock unusual finds and gorgeous one off pieces. Unfortunately, with a whole host of large stores opening in Carnaby Street, Kingly Court has somewhat been over shadowed, lost between Henri Lloyd and Ben Sherman, which has seriously affected the small boutiques housed there.

One of my favourite Kingly Court boutique’s Love Leluu is closing down, and having a rather large sale in the process, with pieces down to £25!! Their range of gorgeously unique designs are not to be missed out on, and neither is their hand made jewellery, so I strongly advise you to pay them a visit before they close in September. Clothing, accessories, jewellery, shoes, gifts and tea, you’ll regret it if you don’t!

Joux Joux: A/W 2010

I was just checking my inbox for an old email, and I came across a very interesting one that seemed to go pass unnoticed, from Joux Joux, the gorgeous footwear brand I blogged about a few months ago. Attached to the email was their latest collection, Wild Thing, which will be in stores in August, and takes it’s inspiration from the cinema sirens of the 1950’s. The collection features an array of thick heels, deep colours, gorgeous materials and lots of attention to detail, perfect with everything from little dresses to rolled up chinos, guaranteed to take you from season to season.

Cinderella Me

You may remember a while ago About your Dress told you about Girl Meets Dress, a fabulous store where you can rent designer dresses for those special occasions. However, once you have your dress you obviously need some just as special shoes to go with it, which is where Cinderella Me steps in.

With Jimmy Choo and Alexander McQueen from only £45 a week and Louboutin’s at £60 you will be perfecting your outfit without filing for bankruptcy. Cinderella Me focus on four core values which are Simple, Affordable, Hygienic and Secure, to ensure customer satisfaction. Hygiene is so important to them that they use a hospital approved method for disinfecting sanitising and sterilising the shoes, so there is no need to worry about receiving stinky stilettos.
